not use in Acute Renal Failure - creatinine results should be
stable for 2-3 months.

Suitable
for adults only (>18 years of age).
Do not use with inpatiens.

Results may deviate from true GFR values with extremes of body composition
(including amputations, gross oedema) or dietary
intake or severe liver disease.
Do not use with pregnant patients.

The formula has NOT been validated for drug dosing.
Cockcroft
and Gault estimates are recommended.

The data is not stored electronically - all transcriptions must be checked for
errors

(age -0.203) * F
(where F = 1 if male, and 0.742 if female)
