AT THURROCK
HOSPITAL Requests for blood should be supplied in good time so they can be fully processed during routine hours; this is important to ensure that the full range of compatibility tests (performed weekdays) can be completed. For patient’s who are not known to have red cell antibodies, 24 hours notice will normally be sufficient. For patient’s who are known to have red cell antibodies, 48 hours notice will normally be sufficient, but there may be exceptions to this. |
