Haemolysis when patient exposed to oxidant compounds. Test will be performed on all cases of P.falciparum malaria. Some cases of neonatal jaundice and anaemia. Occasional cases of anaemia.

Where the screen indicates a G6PD deficiency the sample is referred to Kings College Hospital. Send by first class post or taxi.
