Test Directory -  Helicobacter pylori antibody

This test was removed from routine use on 1 April 2006.  It has been replaced by a test for detection of Helicobacter pylori antigen in faeces.  This is a superior diagnostic test, better reflecting active infection
with helicobacter.  The sensitivity and specificity of the faecal antigen test is similar to the breath test.

See Helicobacter pylori antigen for full details
