All
tests will be performed on the next normal working day after
receipt of the sample
If
the HBsAg test is positive, a confirmatory procedure will be
performed in-house, either on the day of the original test or
the next normal working day. If the confirmatory
procedure indicates that the sample is HBsAg positive, the
sample will be sent to a Reference Laboratory for
confirmation/further tests; the results of these tests will
usually be
available 7 - 10 days after the date of the original in-house
screening test
