Specific Criteria

For the collection of specimens of skin, hair or nails, in cases of suspected superficial fungal infection, please contact the Microbiology Laboratory (ext. 3557 or 01268-593557) as we prefer to collect our own specimen
This service is provided by APPOINTMENT ONLY; a walk-in service cannot be provided

Please give detailed clinical information including date of onset/contact with the suspected infection

Turnaround Time

Microscopy - Next normal working day
Culture - up to four weeks for a negative report
